Trans Ocean has a long standing sales, operational and manufacturing presence in South Africa, dating back to 1997. Initially back then Trans Ocean Distribution outsourced part of their flexitank production requirements to Seatrans Manufacturing (Seatrans), but later in 2000, the two companies formalised their partnership by signing a JV agreement, which resulted in Seatrans becoming the primary equipment supplier to TOD. The relationship was further enhanced in October 2007 when TOD acquired Seatrans in full and in so doing brought it into The Hillebrand Group of which Trans Ocean is now a part.

  • The Trans Ocean fitting and storage facilities are strategically located around the main ports of South Africa. The 2 biggest being in Cape Town and Durban
  • The Cape Town fitting depot has been uniquely built to assist the wine, concentrate and fish oil markets, whilst Durban and Johannesburg focus more on the servicing of the industrial and chemical markets
  • 24 hour technical assistance is handled by our regional depots & our dedicated team of in-house technical experts, giving us the advantage of quick response times to technical and operational issues
